OSCommerce Free Gifts

A customer asked for an OSCommerce modification that allowed them to give away a free torch when a customer sepends more than £25 and enters a promotional code printed in a newspaper.

The contributions out there were far too complicated and therefore expensive to install (unless you get it already installed with CRE Loaded), so Graith Internet developed one that more nearly matches their purpose.

It's configurable in the OSC admin and allows you to pick the product, set the minimum spend and the promotion code.

On the shopping cart page, nothing appears until you spend more than the amount and then a new box pops up

If you get the code right, a free gift is added to your cart.

If you then take products out of your cart so that your spend falls below the limit, the free gift is taken back. It also works with Google Checkout since the code is entered before they get to the checkout page.

If you'd like this function installed on your OSCommerce store, it's a fixed fee of £75
